Today at church Noah was sleepy after lunch, so Danny took him to a quiet classroom to sleep--and he fell alseep too! Even sleeping with his mouth open, he is still the most charming man to me! Thanks to Danny that I can have a wonderful time chatting with bro/sis. (this picture was taken outside the window when I was looking for them)

嘉信今天在教會吃完午餐後很想睡, 所以凱旭抱著他到一間安靜的教室去睡--結果連他自己也跟著睡著了! 即使張著嘴睡, 對我來說他還是最有魅力的男人! 謝謝凱旭我能有一段很好的時間與弟兄姊妹分享. (這張照片是當我在找他們時從窗外拍的)

A Little Sister Just Born

Jane & Luke, my sis/bro at church just gave birth to a baby girl on 10/14 (it seems I have a lot of blogs to catch up...). Her name is Jessica, and she is tall--21-1/4"! I feel very close to her not just because I've become a mom for only 10 and half months, but also because her first name in Chinese has one same chatacter with Noah's (usually the Chinese brothers and sisters share one same character in their names).

Don't you think each baby is born by God's miracle?

教會的夫婦怡珍和可峰剛於10月14日生下女兒Jessica(嘉熙). 她身長54公分, 很高吧! 和她感到很親不只是因為我才做了十個半月的媽媽, 也因她和嘉信的名字都有個"嘉".

每個小孩的出生都是個神蹟, 可不是嗎!

Daddy at Work

On Monday mommy and I visited daddy at work in Fullerton. His co-workers were very nice to us. Don't you think daddy looks handsome in uniform? Daddy works very hard to support our family, and I'm thankful for this!

星期一媽媽和我去爸爸工作的診所看他. 他的同事都很可愛. 爸爸穿制服很帥吧! 謝謝他非常認真地工作來供應我們生活所需.

Auntie Kitty, who's holding me, taught me how to pose like a crounching tiger hidden "dog" (at least it's what she called)--did you see my foot?

Look! I'm Surfing! Almost...

Last Saturday we had family gathering at Uncle Luke and Auntie Dorothy's house. Exciting news was I could surf, no... I mean "stand." I was taught by my two lovely cousins. (PS. Cousin Hannah could walk when she was 6 months old. Amazing!)

上星期六我們拜訪姑姑家. 特別興奮的是我會衝浪, 不, 是會站了! 是兩個可愛的表姊教我的喔. (註: 小表姊六個月大就會站了, 很驚人吧!)

Mini Vacation

Last week Danny attended a conference at Hilton Costa Mesa, so Noah and I had a mini vacation there. Here are some hightlights for the 2-night stay:

Noah started eating finger food recently. Even though he sometimes gags a little, he manages it better and better.

嘉信最近開始吃一些能手指拿著的食物. 他起先不太懂得用牙齒咬, 但他愈來愈知道如何吃了.

Cute Sisters

I can't help taking a piture of those cute little girls while they were playing with Noah at church's chapel. Noah is so blessed to have so many brothers and sisters in the big family of love :)

當這兩個可愛的女孩和嘉信在教會的禮拜堂玩時, 我不得不為她們拍張照. 嘉信在這愛的大家庭有這麼多的哥哥姊姊真是有福氣 :)

A Little Fellow Visited

That day I wasn't waken up by Noah but by a little fellow--our neighbor's cat! He was accidentally locked inside our garage overnight. I felt so scared at first because it sounded like someone was breaking into our house (our bedroom is next to the garage). After I came to my senses, I picked up my camera, made sure Noah was sleeping tight, and opened the garage door. CLICK!

那天我不是被嘉信而是被一個小傢伙--鄰居的貓--吵醒! 我們不小心把他鎖在車庫裏整夜. 起先我感到很害怕, 因聽起來像有人闖空門(我們房間的隔壁是車庫). 等到我回過神來, 我拿起相機, 確定嘉信睡得熟, 然後打開車庫門. 喀喳!

Carseat Upgrade

Today is Noah's 10-month birthday, and something noteworthy in this month is he graduated from his-very-first-cute-little carseat. Actually he's outgrown it for a while, but we kept him sitting on it snugly...

今天是嘉信十個月的生日. 這個月值得一提的是他換汽車安全椅了. 事實上他坐在原來的安全椅上顯得太大已有一段時間了...

The 1st time he sat on the carseat. (Click here to see my previous posting about carseat mistake :P)
第一次他坐汽車安全椅. (點閱此處看我之前提到關於安全椅的笑話 :P)

He probably knew it was his last time to sit on it so he held on it tight (I name this position "taking a bus").
他也許知道這是最後一次坐小安全椅, 所以他握的緊緊的(我叫這個姿勢"搭公車").

Looks like he (or us?) misses his little carseat...
看起來他懷念著他的小安全椅(或者是我們更懷念呢?)...

Play & Grow Baby Pals

On Tuesday Noah went to his 1st class, "Play & Grow Baby Pals." It's really funny to see him interact with other babies, and he's not shy at all! He tried to reach every pal during the class (or should I say toys). One thing interesting about California is the diversity of nationalities--even in such a small class of seven babies!

星期二嘉信第一次上課(課名:和玩伴一同遊戲與成長). 看嘉信和其他嬰兒互動很有趣, 他一點也不害羞! 他向每個嬰孩爬過去(或著該說向著別人的玩具). 加州特色之一就是文化熔爐 --即使在只有七個嬰兒的課堂!

Noah was the only one not sitting next to us...

Noah was also the only one crawling thru the tunnel (and so was I--the teacher made me!)
嘉信也是唯一爬過"隧道"的baby(而我是唯一有爬的家長--是老師要我和嘉信一起爬的)

Again he was the only one sitting in the center while parents were making waves above them...
他是當父母在他們頭上作波浪時唯一爬出去坐在中間的...

My conclusion: Noah is very SOCIAL (he got it from Danny).
結論: 嘉信很喜歡社交(遺傳自凱旭)

Romantic Wedding

Last Saturday we attended a good friend's wedding at New Otani Hotel & Garden in Los Angeles (click on the link for the ceremony garden which is very romantic but I didn't have a chance to take a picture :<) Noah enjoyed it as much as we did!

上星期六我們去洛杉磯的New Otani Hotel & Garden參加婚禮(點閱link來看羅曼蒂克的花園, 可惜沒有機會拍照) 嘉信和我們一樣享受美好時光!

Moon Festival

Moon Festival (also called Mid-Autumn Festival) was on last Friday. Since the full moon symbolizes the reunion, it's the time when we miss our family and friends the most! Good to have moon cakes to ease our homesickness! This picture was taken before we left home to a friend's house to celebrate Moon Festival (the moon was much brighter actually). Too bad I forgot to take a picture of the moon cakes... we were too indulged! (Sorry, Noah... you're too little to eat it....)

上星期五是中秋節. 因為月圓象徵團圓, 此時是我們最念想親友的時刻. 還好有月餅減輕鄉愁... 這張照片是在我們出門要去朋友家過中秋前拍的(月亮實際上更亮). 很可惜我忘了拍月餅... 我們太忙著吃了! (嘉信, 真不好意思... 你還太小不能吃...)

More Like A Toddler

We visited Disneyland yesterday (yes, AGAIN!). This time we went earlier so we were able to have some good shoots. Don't you think Noah look more like a toddler than a baby!

我們昨天又去迪士尼樂園走走(是的, 又去了). 因這次比往常去的早, 所以我們能拍到一些不錯的照片. 你有沒有覺得嘉信看起來愈來愈像大孩子而不像小嬰孩了?

Not Cheap

Let me calculate... diapers aren't cheap! Formula either!! I promise I'll be a good boy, daddy & mommy.

讓我算一算... 紙尿布不便宜哩! 奶粉也是!! 爸爸媽媽, 我答應你們我會做個乖小孩的.

New Routine

Inspired by Cheri's devotion to rock 'n' roll marathon, I decide to get up earlier and go for a walk with Noah for a half hour every day. I thought it would be hard for a night owl like me, but I actually enjoy it very much! Thanks to Noah for making everything so fun :)

受到Cheri致力於搖滾馬拉松比賽的激勵, 我決定每天早點起來帶嘉信去散步半小時. 我本來以為對我這夜貓子來說不容易, 但我非常享受! 謝謝嘉信使每件事變得有趣 :)

Sleep in Style

I know it's not courteous to take a picture of someone while he's sleeping, but I just can't help it! Noah is really cute--even in his sleep! (Don't worry... I didn't wake him up. He's a heavy sleeper!)

我知道拍別人睡覺的照片不太好, 但我是不得不拍, 因嘉信實在是太可愛了--即使在睡眠中! (放心, 我沒有吵到他, 因他不容易被吵醒)
