No Skipping, Please!

It seems we skipped a diaper change. Huggies is good!

PS. Emergency Supply Kit update: we can't finish it until we buy a new first aid kit--ours expired in June, 2005!

Camping Trip Highlights

We love camping! Noah enjoyed every moment of this trip, and he even slept better... From this 3-day trip I learned that life could be this simple. I wish I could take a picture of the starry sky. When I saw it I was speechless! Then I thought of the verses:

"When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?"
(Psalms 8:3-4)

As promised, here's the picture of our fully loaded minivan, whose 3rd seat has been taken off.

In the 5-hour drive Noah had a great time playing with Pooh and pillows.

Our campground was so small (only for tent size 9'x7') that we set up our tent on the parking area. It turned out great--no dust everywhere.

Going Camping

Tomorrow we're going camping at Sequoia National Park for three days! Very excited this time because a new family member joins us! Let's give him some orientation before we leave. Can you imagine how much stuff we have to bring just for three pepople/three days? I can't and don't want to! (I think I will show you a picture of our fully loaded minivan later.)

In Rememrance of Mr. Steve Yu

Our beloved brother in Christ, Mr. Steve Yu, passed away this morning. Mr. & Mrs. Yu are the closest couple I've ever known. Danny and I used to play bridge with them, but we never won a game, not even close!

Mr. Yu has three children (Pastor James is one of them), and they all are serving God in full-time ministries. Surely his deeds will pass on! The memorial service will be held this Saturday. Please pray for their family.

--Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them." (Rev. 14:13)

Cozy Coupe

I wanted to post something about Noah's cozy coupe, but I didn't have a chance until now. Because Danny loves cars very much, I thought it was a good idea to buy a car for Noah and daddy could teach him how to drive. So here are the results. (Danny even taught him about drifting!)

These were the actions I asked Noah to do in the video:
(first of all, I didn't tell him to wear a hat)
Close the door
Honk the horn
Drive the car (apparently daddy taught him how to change gears)
Find the keys (daddy also taught him the common places to find the keys)

No wonder cozy coupe is Noah's favorite toy--he drives it for "miles" every day!

"Bento": Japanese Boxed Meals

A friend e-mailed me these "bento" pictures. The Japanese boxed meal, called "obento" (pronounced: o-ben-toe) or "bento," is one of my favorite food. I'm pretty sure that Noah would love bento if he saw a froggy in his lunchbox. (Note: pictures are from e-obento.com, click on each month for more bento ideas)
