Last weekend was so hot that we decided to go to Seal Beach at the last minute.

因上週末非常熱, 我們臨時決定到Seal Beach走走.

In order to teach Noah to be responsible, we let him share the housework. Helping daddy throw the trash was one of his favorites. I love watching the "seriousness" shown on his face while he's doing it.

為了教導嘉信負責任, 我們讓他分擔家務. 幫爸爸倒垃圾是他最喜歡做的家事之一. 我很喜歡看他做事時認真的表情.

Note: Remember I mentioned about our 10+ times faster cable service without any reason? Mystery solved: we didn't know our area's service provider had been changed until we received the bill from the new company. The best part is they voluntarily offer us promotional rate ($10 a month) for a whole year! Hooray!

備註: 還記得我曾提過我們的網路速度沒有理由的快了十多倍? 謎底揭曉: 直到新的帳單寄來才知我們地區已換另一家公司來提供網路服務. 不錯的是他們自動提供一年的促銷(一個月$10).

Here Come the Waves!

Last Friday we got a chance to go to the beach with the Wang family (with their newest addition, Isaiah, the 2nd son--I can't believe I forget to take a picture of him!). I thought Noah would be afraid of the waves according to our previous experiences, but it turned out he couldn't stop chasing the waves!

上星期五我們和Charles一家(包括他們最新的成員二兒子"永安"--唉呀, 我竟然忘了幫他照張相!)去海邊走走. 依上次的經驗我以為嘉信會怕海浪, 沒想到這次是他無法停止追浪!

Taiwan Trip--Yong-An Fishing Port

[March 29] Two words to summarize our visit at Yong-An Fishing Port:
1) Enjoyment: nice scenery and fresh seafood :P
2) Relaxation: grandpa carried Noah all the time! They were inseparable!

[三月廿九] 我可用兩個字來總結永安漁港之行:
1) 享受: 怡人的風景與新鮮的海產
2) 輕鬆: 從頭到尾嘉信都是阿公抱著--他們是形影不離!

Nice to See You Again

It's been six months since last time we had some fun at the beach, and we were so happy to spend a splendid afternoon with Charles' family at Corona del Mar last Saturday. This time we let Noah walk on the beach (with the socks--just to be safe...) and he couldn't stop walking--even after we got home, he still walked like he was in sand :)

離上次我們去海灘玩已有六個月了. 真高興上星期六我們和Charles一家到Corona del Mar度過一個愜意的下午. 這次我們讓嘉信在沙灘上走(為了安全穿著襪子), 他高興地走個不停--即使我們已回到家, 他還像走在沙子上 :)


"No-wa-wa" ("wa-wa" means doll in Chinese) is how Nathan calls Noah. Isn't it cute?

Taiwan Trip--Tidal Park

[March 23~25] Our church friends in Taiwan invited us to a 2-day/2-night trip in Yi-Lan, which is in northeastern Taiwan. It's a shame that I'd never been to Yi-Lan before (and I lived in Taiwan for 24 years!)--it is known not only for the beautiful natural vistas but also for the cuisine that makes the area a favorite with gourmands! Our first stop was Pei-Kuan Tidal Park.

[三月廿三~廿五] 在台灣的教會朋友帶我們去宜蘭玩兩天兩夜. 真不好意思, 雖我曾住在台灣24年, 但我從來沒去過. 宜蘭不只是有名在美麗的自然景觀, 也是老饕們的美食天堂! 宜蘭行的第一站是北關潮海公園.

We were very lucky to stay at the new guesthouse in Yi-Lan University because one of our friends works there. It's so cozy!
由於朋友在宜蘭大學工作, 因此我們能住在學校新的招待所. 真是享受!

I Miss The Beach

Today we had a present picnic lunch at Disneyland with Cheri & Andrew (click here to see their recent adventure there) and then did some shopping for Taiwan trip. (Yay--only 10 more days to count!) When we were about to leave the parking (and Noah was napping hard in the back seat), all of a sudden I was in the mood to drive to the beach!

It's really a perfect day to go out!

今天和Cheri, Andrew去迪士尼樂園野餐之後(點閱此處看他們最近在那兒的探險), 我們也買些紀念品要帶回台灣. (再十天就要回去了!) 在要離開停車場時(嘉信早已熟睡), 我心血來潮開車去看海!

真是個出遊的好日子!

Bye Bye Summer

I can't believe it's the last day of September and fall is already here (more specifically, 9/23 is the 1st day). We have taken out the warm clothes, including the cute little ones for Noah!

We say goodbye to summer at beach in Corona del Mar (probably the last time to the beach this year). Here are some highlights:

真不敢相信今天已是九月的最後一天, 秋天也已悄悄地到了(更準確地說, 9月23是秋天的第一天). 我們已將衣服換季了--當然也包括嘉信的小衣服!

我們去了Corona del Mar的海灘向夏天說再見(這應該是今年最後一次去海邊了). 以下是一些照片與你分享:

I'm in Pacific Ocean!

We went to Seal Beach with grandma, 2 aunties, uncle, and 2 cousins. I was so excited that I was actually in Pacific Ocean because on the other side of the ocean is Taiwan, where grandpa & grandma live!

我們和阿媽, 姑姑, 姑丈, 表姊去Seal Beach. 當踏進太平洋時我非常興奮, 因在海洋的另一岸是外公外婆住的地方--台灣!
