It's A Girl!

This morning before I left home to take another ultrasound, I did an interesting baby gender prediction test which is using old wives' tales and found I have a 55% chance of having a girl (45% a boy, of course). Guess what? The ultrasound shows I'm having a GIRL!

btw, I first felt baby kicking on Christmas Day, when Noah was laughing hard near my belly!

今早在我出門要去照超音波前, 我在網上作了一個有趣的測驗(是基於老一輩的傳說)來預測嬰孩性別. 結果是我有55%的機率生女孩(當然就是45%生男孩). 阿哈! 超音波顯示我懷的是女孩子.

附帶一提: 我在聖誕節那天第一次感覺到baby在動, 正當嘉信在我肚旁笑呵呵時!

December Is the Month for Birthday Celebrations

December is surely the month for birthday celebrations! The biggest one, of course, is for Jesus our saviour! He is the reason for the season!

Jumper Party

It was Noah's first time going to a jumper party, which was for Esther's 6th birthday. At first he was afraid of the noise from the air pump, but he warmed up at no time.

嘉信第一次參加"跳跳樂派對"(我自己隨便翻譯的), 慶祝Esther的6歲生日. 一開始他有點怕打氣機的聲音, 但馬上就暖好身玩起來了.

When the party host announced it was time for group pictures, Noah run to the front, sat on the ground, and held still like this.

當主持人要小朋友們排好照團體照, 嘉信自己跑到前面坐在地上不動讓大人照相.

Seeing Noah sat at the table nicely with other kids makes me imagine how his school days will be like.

看到嘉信和其他的小朋友乖乖坐著吃東西, 讓我想像到將來他上學的情景.

Did You Hear "Elephant"?

Noah has his particular way to say "elephant," just like Andrew had his way to say "Thomas" before. I can't wait to hear Noah say "Happy Birthday!"

嘉信有他特別的方式說"elephant"(大象), 就像Andrew說"Thomas"(湯瑪士小火車). 我等不及聽嘉信說"Happy Birthday"!

When hearing "bye bye," Noah run to Cousin Hannah and hugged her like this, hoping it would delay their departure.

We spent Thanksgiving at grandma's house. The food was yummy and the games were fun (The game we played in this photo is called "spoon")

我們在阿嬷家過感恩節. 食物很好吃且遊戲很好玩(照片裡我們在玩的遊戲叫"湯匙").

This year we went after-Thanksgiving shopping together (expect Danny who went racing). Did we find good buys? Definitely!

今年我們一同去感恩節後特價購物(除了凱旭去賽車外). 我們有發現好東西喔!

This Concludes November's Blog (Part I)

We had a delicious dinner with our friend Connie at California Pizza Kitchen, which was located at the Pike of Long Beach (a very cool place to visit).

Noah loves snuggling a comforter. Thank God it's not his security blanket--not easy to carry around!

Noah is having another class called "Parent & Me Growing & Learning Together." I found out he doesn't like doing craft but loves bubbles!

My Carpool Companion

I felt content to see Noah sleeping--even when I was stuck in the traffic! (Did I mention Danny could sleep anytime anywhere?)

看到睡著的嘉信使我感到很滿足, 即使是塞在車陣裡. (我有提過凱旭能在隨時隨處睡覺嗎?)

Below are some of the reasons why Noah is a really good carpool companion: (I proved it again that Danny's genes are stronger than mine!)

• When I braked urgently, Noah would say "be careful" to me (in a calming tone of voice, different from my panic tone to Danny, which he hates) --Danny is a calm person.
• When I couldn't find our car in the parking lot, Noah would point at the direction where it was after I asked him. --Danny has a good sense of direction.
• Noah used to say "we're home" as soon as he saw the driveway, but now he said so when we were still blocks away from home. --(same as above)
• Noah always saw daddy's car before I did when we drove our cars separately. --Danny has good eyes.
• I often got "live music" if Noah was in the mood. --I got that from Danny too!

為何嘉信是我最好的開車伙伴?

• 當我煞車比較急時, 嘉信會對我說"小心"(是用鎮定的語調, 而不像我用凱旭最不喜歡的驚慌語氣對他說). --凱旭是個沉著的人.
• 當我在停車場找不到車時, 問嘉信他就會指出車子的方向. --凱旭很有方向感.
• 以前當車子開到家門時嘉信會說"到了", 現在是離家幾條街前就會說了. --(同上)
• 當我和凱旭一起開兩部車, 嘉信總是比我先看到爸爸開的車. --凱旭的眼睛很好.
• 我常有現場歌聲可聽--只要嘉信的興致來了. --凱旭很愛唱歌.

Baby #2 Updates

Last Thursday I had my first ultrasound and everything went great! The baby was 3.4cm long (not including the length of legs) and 10 weeks old (in the 11th week now). When I saw the little hands and legs moving (waving to me!) and the heart beating fast (twice as fast as ours), I almost cried!

上星期四第一次照超音波, 一切都正常. 胎兒3.4公分長(不包括腳長), 10週大. 當我看到baby的小手小腳在動(是向我招手吧), 心臟快速地跳著(胎兒的心跳比大人快一倍), 我感動的快哭出來了!

Busy as a Bee (Part II)

After cutting back the length of the video, I finally uploaded it successfully :) The original video was 3-minute long, and yes, Noah kept spinning crazy like this (good balance!). As I told you, he was as busy as a bee.

在剪短影片的長度後, 我終於成功地上傳 :) 原本的影片有3分鐘長, 是的, 嘉信從頭到尾像這樣轉個不停(平衡感不錯喔). 如同我所說, 他像小蜜蜂一樣忙.

Here's an old video which was recorded a month ago. I name it "Pure Joy." It was funny that after 10-second pause he answered "yummy" to my question: "Taste good?" btw, I guarantee this was the only lollipop I've ever given him.

這影片是我一個月前拍的. 標題為"純真的享受". 好笑的是嘉信在細細品味10秒鐘之後才回答我的問題. 附帶一提的是我只給嘉信吃過這一支棒棒糖而已喔.

Busy as a Bee (Part I)

Thanks to Edward who has outgrown his costume, Noah could be a busy bee! As soon as I put the costume on him, he couldn't stop spinning. We didn't go out but instead gave daddy a big surprise when he got home from work! (Though he didn't feel very comfortable with the wings because he thought it was too girly.)

(PS. Our Internet service has downgraded from high-speed to low-speed cable, so I have some trouble uploading video, even photos sometimes. That's why very few videos are on the blog recently.)

謝謝長大的俊霆把他的蜜蜂裝給嘉信穿. 好笑的是他一穿上就轉個不停. 雖然我們沒有出門, 但給下班回來的爸爸好一個驚喜! (雖然他覺得這翅膀有點女孩子味)

Our young couple fellowship (called True Love) had a picnic at a park in Brea. (Can you imagine how hard it was to gather all the kids together and make them hold still?)

All-you-can-eat Korean bbp dinner with our worship team. I've never eaten so much beef at a time. The smoke made us smell like meat! Surprisingly I start missing it already :P

和敬拜團去吃吃到飽的韓國烤肉. 我從來沒有一次吃那麼多的肉. 煙使我們聞起來像肉! 讓我驚訝的是我已開始想念起烤肉香了.

Nathan stayed one night at our house. I just couldn't resist the charms of sleeping kids--so peaceful and quiet!

永霖來我們家住一個晚上. 熟睡的孩子實在是太可愛了--如此安詳!

Nathan was teaching Noah ABC/puzzle. I think Noah needed a break.

The new attraction "Finding Nemo Submarine": the line was always long when we came there, so we didn't have a chance to take the ride yet. (Our thumb rule: if the wait is more than 20 minutes, it's not worth it.)

新的遊樂設施"海底總動員潛水艇": 總是大排長龍, 所以我們還沒有坐過. (我們的原則是排隊超過20分鐘的不值得等)

Fashionable hairstyles are coming back! Time for the next haircut is not decided yet. We'll see how it goes :)

One of the things Danny loves to do for fun with Noah is leaving shirts "on head" before getting ready for bath. He seems to like it--he even poses for me!

凱旭很喜歡和嘉信玩的遊戲之一是當準備洗澡時把他的衣服脫在頭上. 看來嘉信很喜歡--還擺姿勢給我看.

Today for the very first time Noah actually used his potty (he usually sat on it with pants on when I went to the restroom). After two attempts, here it came, nice size and shape! I was so proud of him that I gave him a big clap. Now whenever he sees his potty, he applauds for himself! At first I wanted to share my joys with Danny by leaving it there till he's back from work, but I changed my mind because of the smell! Never mind--I'll just take a picture to show him and you! (PS. I did a little mosaic to decrease the grossness. I have warned you, haven't I?)

今天嘉信第一次成功地使用便盆(他通常是在當我上廁所時穿著褲子坐在上面). 經過兩次嘗試, 終於有成效(大小軟硬適中)! 我鼓掌喝采, 因我實在為他感到驕傲. 所以現在他只要看到便盆, 就會給自己鼓鼓掌喔! 本來我還想要把便便留在那裡等凱旭下班回來和他分享我的喜悅, 但因它實在不好聞只好作罷. 就拍個照給他和你們留念吧! (備註: 我用了點馬賽克減少清晰度--我可是有警告過你呀.)
